Student Information Forms are included in your parent packet at the beginning of the school year. Please complete and return the form to your child's teacher. Notify the school secretary during the year if a change occurs.
The school office must have each parent’s current address and telephone number at all times for emergency purposes. Please notify the office immediately whenever a change occurs. Current information is crucial in the event of emergency or sickness . In case the parent cannot be reached, the name and telephone number of someone who will be able to assist should also be kept current and on file in the office.

During the school hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, parents and all other school visitors will need to enter the building through the school's front entrance and check-in at the office. Please don't knock on outside doors and expect teachers to leave classrooms to open doors. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. We have not experienced any problems but feel that increased security will enable us to continue providing a safe and orderly learning environment. We look forward to all visitors entering the school's front doors. (Be sure to park in a parking lot, not the bus circle at the front of the gym.) |

The mission of Great Falls Elementary is for teachers, administrators, parents, and the community to join together in sharing the responsibility for providing safe, challenging, and successful opportunities for all students, enabling them to become lifelong learners and productive citizens who treat others with dignity and respect. |

If your child's mode of transportation should change, you must send a note with your child. We can not take these changes over the phone. If there is a bus change, you must arrange that through the bus office with Mrs. Curry directly at 482-4959.
Students should not be dropped off in the mornings at the office entrance unless it is after 8:00 AM when students are tardy. An adult should walk the child into the building when they are tardy. This request is for your child's safety. |

The district's dress code states that a student
will maintain personal attire and grooming standards that promote
safety, health, and acceptable standards of social conduct. Student
dress that disrupts the school environment will not be tolerated.
Great Falls Elementary School has a Standard Code of Dress with which all students are expected to comply. It states:
Clothing must be size appropriate.
Students
will wear solid color shirts with collars or turtlenecks in red, white,
black, navy and light blue. No logos, other than Great Falls Elementary
School logos, are allowed on collared shirts.
|
Students
will wear solid black, khaki, or navy pants, skirts, shorts, capris,
jumpers, all at appropriate length. No sweat pants or blue jeans.
Sweatshirts with only Great Falls Elementary School logos are allowed.
Coats of any color can be worn.
Students
must wear sneakers or tennis shoes daily, unless you are otherwise
notified. Students will have P.E. twice weekly and daily physical
activity.
Belts and tucking of shirts are optional.
Reference to other dress code questions can be made to the Student Leadership Handbook.
Also,
we are requesting that parents refrain from purchasing "rolling" book
bags (book bags on wheels) unless absolutely necessary for your
child's health.

Students should not transport medication of any kind, prescribed or over-the-counter, to school. Parents or another responsible adult should bring medicine to the office or to the clinic. Medication that is to be given for more than 15 days requires a form to be completed by the student’s doctor.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to become school volunteers or mentors. Volunteers may assist in the media center, assist in the classroom, or work in the office. Mentors volunteer their time to work with a student once a week. The mentor is a friend to the student. Together, they experience a very special relationship in which ideas, goals, and dreams are shared. If you are interested in becoming a school volunteer or mentor, please call. Your interest and involvement are always appreciated. |
